Meet Our West End Children's Festival Director!
Tatiana Mercado is our Director for the 10th Annual West End Children's Festival.
Tatiana's early childhood was spent in the West End, and even though she has moved, she feels like it is her second home. Her favorite part of the West End is the neighborhood diversity. She says that the West End is its own "melting pot" of ethnicities, backgrounds and more, but hopes that our community can come together for fun, exciting events on a regular basis to reinforce the familial atmosphere that she grew to love.
Tatiana has been involved with the West End Children's Festival since 2010, starting as a volunteer coordinator, and has been the director for the 6th, 7th and 8th year.
She looks forward to returning to head the 10th year! She has big things planned, so mark the date on your calendar, Saturday, August 15th, 2015!
One thing you might not know about her is that her senior year in college, she wrote two 300 page fiction novels. We'll have to check the shelves for her writing in the future!
