Whether you have just an hour or two to spare or you're available on a weekly basis, we’d love to have you join us at the West End Community Center. There’s a role for everyone—whether it's helping plan an event, sharing coffee and conversation, organizing materials, filing paperwork, or distributing flyers in the neighborhood.

Interns
Student Opportunity: Join Us for a Semester of Community Impact!
We’re looking for dedicated students to join us for a semester-long opportunity to support the West End Community Center through hands-on work in newsletter creation, event planning, fundraising, and social media marketing.

This is a great way to gain real-world experience, build your resume, and earn community service hours—all while making a meaningful impact in your neighborhood.

Volunteer Coordinator
Help recruit, schedule, and support volunteers across all areas of the Community Center. You’ll be the main point of contact for volunteers, helping ensure everyone feels welcome, informed, and ready to contribute.
Event Volunteer
Support events by setting up, welcoming guests, helping with activities, and cleaning up after. A great way to get involved hands-on and connect with neighbors.
Fundraising
Support the Center’s sustainability by helping brainstorm and implement fundraising ideas, writing thank-you notes, or assisting with donation drives and events.
Decorate & Organize
Use your creative eye and organizational skills to help make our space beautiful and functional! This role includes decorating for events and helping organize materials and spaces to keep things running smoothly.
Social Media & Marketing
Help us spread the word! Support the creation and posting of content on social media, assist with email newsletters, and help promote programs and events to the wider community.
Programming
Work with staff to help plan, coordinate, or lead community programs. Whether it’s a class, workshop, or activity, this role is ideal for someone with ideas or skills to share.
Event Planner
Help envision, design, and coordinate events that bring the community together. From logistics to details like food, music, or activities—you’ll play a key role in making events memorable and successful.
Neighborhood Research
Gather insights about our community’s needs, interests, and resources. This could include talking to neighbors, collecting survey responses, or researching local organizations and opportunities.
Community Social Planning
Help create and organize fun, low-key social gatherings that bring people together—like potlucks, game nights, or neighborhood meetups. A great fit for someone who enjoys bringing people together and building community spirit.
