Downtown Schools Night

74 Joy Street, Boston

Thursday, Nov. 12th

7-8:30pm

Learn more about Boston's terrific public elementary schools, from parents with children in those schools. This event will focus on nearby public elementary schools, with families sharing their views and experiences. We are currently planning to discuss the following schools: Hurley (South End), Quincy (Chinatown), Eliot (North End), Harvard-Kent (Charlestown) and Warren-Prescott (Charlestown).

Families' elementary school options vary depending on where they live and the grade the child is entering. (A family will not have all of the schools listed above in the set of choices they are offered.) If you're planning to attend Downtown Schools Night, it will be helpful for you to explore your specific school options at DiscoverBPS.org. (The website is usually updated for the new school year in early November, but you can see the school options for your address at any time.) Families entering kindergarten may also want to review CountdownToKindergarten.org. Interested families should visit schools in November and December, and submit their school choices in January.
